Philip Teggart, with years of local dentistry expertise, envisioned a practice that goes beyond traditional dental care. A local story, reimagined
At the heart of Newcastle, nestled between the Irish Sea and the Mourne Mountains, you’ll find Slieve Commedagh Clinic; a dental practice inspired by its surroundings and dedicated to the people who make this community special.
Formerly known as Philip Teggart Dentist, the clinic has grown and evolved over the past five years into something much more than a dental practice. Our new name takes inspiration from Slieve Commedagh, the mountain that stands watch over the town. Its meaning - “Guarding Mountain” - perfectly reflects our mission: to watch over and protect the health and wellbeing of every patient who walks through our doors.

From the beginning, our goal has been simple - to combine the best of modern digital dentistry with an atmosphere that feels welcoming, calm, and unhurried. Our new state-of-the-art downstairs clinic represents the next chapter in that journey. With digital scanning, CBCT imaging, and the latest clinical innovations, we’re able to provide even more advanced treatment in a space that feels anything but clinical.
