From your very first visit, you’ll notice that our approach feels different — more like stepping into a wellness space than a traditional dental surgery. You’ll be greeted by our friendly front-of-house team and given the time you need to feel at ease before your appointment begins.
What to expect at your first visit
Your first appointment with us is a chance to get to know you — not just your teeth, but your overall oral health and what you hope to achieve. During this visit, you’ll meet your clinician and have the opportunity to discuss any concerns or goals you may have, whether it’s improving your oral health, exploring cosmetic treatments, or simply finding a practice that feels right for you.

We’ll carry out a gentle but thorough assessment, checking your teeth, gums and soft tissues, and may take digital scans or x-rays if needed. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of your oral health, along with an open conversation about any treatment options, costs or timeframes.
For patients who feel nervous
​​If you feel anxious about visiting the dentist, you’re not alone - and you’re in the right place. Our environment has been created with calm in mind, from our soothing music and essential oil diffusers to the reassuring presence of our caring team. We take everything at your pace, explaining each step as we go and ensuring you always feel in control.
Private membership and independent care
We offer a range of options for new patients, including private membership plans through Patient Plan Direct. Members enjoy exclusive benefits such as AirFlow hygiene appointments, same-week access to emergency care, 20% off most treatments, and the reassurance of continued care with Dr Philip Teggart in our new downstairs suite.

If you’d prefer, you can also join us as an independent patient, with access to high-quality general and cosmetic dentistry on a pay-as-you-go basis. Whatever you choose, our commitment to your comfort and care remains the same.
Your ongoing care
​​As part of your ongoing care, we’ll invite you for routine dental health reviews and hygiene appointments to help maintain your smile long term. We’ll keep you updated through our patient newsletter, which includes helpful advice, offers and invitations to in-clinic events; so you always feel part of the Slieve Commedagh community.
